Canada’s long-awaited adoption of the Madrid Protocol took place on 17th June 2019. The Madrid Protocol permits the protection of a trade mark using a single application across up to 120 countries. Canada is now included in those numbers and can be designated as part of an International trade mark application.

If you would like more information about protecting your trade mark in Canada or registering an International trade mark application, please contact Keeley Williams or your usual ip21 attorney on 01603 457008.
