Cheryl is a qualified UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney having previously qualifyied as a Solicitor, Trade Mark Attorney and Notary Public in South Africa. Cheryl has over 15 years’ experience in the intellectual property field with a focus on trade mark portfolio management and the enforcement of intellectual property rights in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Cheryl has worked with a number of clients, including multinational companies, in the banking, insurance, food & beverage, clothing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and motor industries. She has also worked closely with small-medium size enterprises entering the market and provides advice with a focus on achieving the best protection of intellectual property assets within the context of her clients' business needs.

As a result, she appreciates the importance of getting to know each client individually and to focus on the key aspirations and needs of each client to provide appropriate and tailored strategic advice with the aim of achieving their commercial and legal objectives and optimise their investment in IP.
