Having trained and qualified as both a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney at a leading London firm, Cristina has extensive experience in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications. She is also a UK and European registered design attorney.
Cristina has represented clients in relation to a wide range of technologies, including computer-implemented inventions, physics, electronics and engineering, and medical devices. Cristina works with a diverse range of clients, from private inventors to multinational companies. She has successfully represented clients in opposition procedures before the European Patent Office, managed substantial international portfolios, and provided freedom to operate opinions as well as wider strategic IP advice.
Cristina holds a BSc in Physics and Computer Science from Trent University in Canada and a PhD in Solar Physics from Cambridge University, UK. Prior to joining the IP profession in 2008, Cristina worked as a researcher in Canada, the USA (at the NASA Space Flight Centre) and Japan.
