Paul joined ip21 in October 2011. A graduate chemist of Swansea University, he spent 13 years as a Research Chemist working in a large Industrial Research and Development Department. This included 2 years seconded to the labs of a German sister company. During this time he specialised in the development of new and stable peroxyacid compounds and formulations.

Transferring to the in-house patents department he gained a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary College, London before moving to a European-based private practice and qualifying as a European Patent Attorney. Paul advises in a wide range of disciplines and has clients from the chemical, materials science, oil and gas, renewable energy and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as defence equipment suppliers and tech/software firms. Paul is fluent in English and German.
