WASE wins NACUE's Varsity Pitch 2018

NACUE

Congratulations to WASE for winning the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs' Varsity Pitch 2018 competition.

WASE describes its mission as developing sustainable solutions to provide sanitation and clean water to everyone who needs it. Thomas Fudge, a graduate of Brunel University and founder of WASE, was announced as the winner of the £10,000 first prize after a lengthy deliberation from the judges who universally praised the calibre of the finalists.

Other pitches included a diabetes management app, a new clean-tech construction material, a revolutionary children's swimming aid, a smart catheter innovation and a virtual reality platform for accessing cultural buildings and sites among others.

ip21 were delighted to be involved as one of the sponsors of this year's competition, with our own Cristina Penine helping to judge the Ideas Category. Cristina described the experience as "highly inspirational and rewarding" and commented that the standard of pitches throughout the competition was exceptional.
